Angels Send Valentines, Don't They?

On the most romantic day of the year, Judy's marriage had failed. How would she ever enjoy Valentine's Day again? By Joan Wester Anderson
The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us,
and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us,
and we only know them when they are gone.
—George Eliot

The valentines in the window displays seemed to mock Judy Kimball as she sloshed through the drugstore parking lot in Kent, Washington. As others demonstrated their love, she felt only loneliness and heartbreak. She glanced at passersby, all seemingly deep into their own thoughts. Other people's marriages failed, she knew, and somehow they went on living. But how? It had been only six days since her husband had told her he wanted a divorce, six days since her life had taken on a surreal feeling, and grief threatened to overwhelm her.

She hadn't expected anything like this to happen. They'd been together almost nineteen years, and she thought those had been happy years. But now she wondered how much of her husband's supposed contentment had been a lie. He had explained little, just gotten his things together and left while she and their three children reeled, trying to grasp what was happening. She hadn't shared the news with anyone yet, nor had she even cried. The hurt was too wrenching for talk or tears.

The first few days had passed in a blur, Somehow Judy summoned up the composure to cancel a dinner party she and her husband had planned to host on Saturday; she said that all three children had come down with the flu. And then there was her Wednesday night class in fiction writing. Now that the kids were older, she'd felt it was her turn to follow a long-held dream, to write, publish, and share any successes with her husband.

But now that dream was dead. She had skipped last week's class, and would probably drop out. What was the point? She had obviously failed at one of her most important tasks—being a beloved wife—so why should she expect success in any other aspect of her life? This trip to the drugstore for valentines for her children was the first time she'd ventured out all week, and it was taking its toll. She felt shaky and ill.

"Judy!" She heard the call from across the parking lot, and turned. Waving at her was Patricia, another student in her fiction writing class, wearing the same Black Watch plaid cape she always did. Judy waved back, hoping Patricia wouldn't come any closer. She seemed nice, but Judy didn't feel up to talking to anyone. Within seconds however, Patricia was at her side. "Hey, we missed class last week," she said, concern in her eyes. "Are you all right?"

The tears began to come. "My—my husband has asked separation—and ultimately a divorce. He's moved out." Judy astonished at her own words. Patricia was nothing more that casual acquaintance, someone who sat in the back of the classroom and occasionally smiled at her. Why was Judy sharing something personal with her?

But the compassion on Patricia's face was real. "Come on. It's chilly out here. Let's talk in my car." She guided Judy to a nearby vehicle.

The car seemed a warm and safe oasis, and Judy wept as she poured out her hurt, anger, and fear. Hadn't she tried, as best she knew how, to honor her commitment, to be the woman God wanted her to be? Why then, had he let this terrible thing happen to her and their precious children? She looked at Patricia and was shocked to see tears running down her cheeks. She shouldn't be putting this nice woman through this. She didn't even know if Patricia believed in God. "I'm so sorry to burden you with this," she whispered as her sobbing wound down. "You could never understand."

Patricia laid a hand on Judy's arm. "You're wrong," she said softly. "I do understand." Swiftly she removed something from her black cape and dropped it into Judy's hand. It was an angel pin.

"God hasn't forgotten you, Judy," Patricia said gently. "He just has other plans for you. You will survive this. Trust me."

"Thank you." Judy gave Patricia a quick hug and then slipped from the car. She was still shaky, but inside her—glowing as if for the first time—was a little flicker of hope. She closed her fingers around the angel pin and remembered the Lord's faithful promise, "I will never forsake you or abandon you" (Hebrews 13:5). She, who had always relied on her husband, was going to lean on God's strength now.

On the following Wednesday, Judy returned to her fiction class. It had taken a bit of interior pushing, but it was important that she make a beginning. And she knew Patricia, her newfound friend, would cheer her on. However, Patricia was absent, Nor did she come the next week, or the next. if only.  Judy had thought to get her last name or telephone number! Class records were private, but on the following Wednesday, Judy approached the teacher. "Remember Patricia, the woman in the Black Watch plaid cape?" she asked.

The teacher looked mystified.

"She sat in the back of class," Judy added. "She hasn't been here the past few weeks, and I'd like to contact her."

The teacher shook her head. "I don't remember any woman in a plaid cape."

"Her first name was Patricia," Judy persisted. "If you can give me her last name.

The teacher ran her finger down the class roster, then looked at Judy. "There's no Patricia enrolled in this class," she said. "And no one by that name has dropped out."

"Pat? Patty? Tricia?"

The instructor shook her head. "Sorry. I wish I could help, but I'm afraid not."

Judy stood in a daze. You will survive this, Patricia had told her. Maybe Patricia had never been there for class. Maybe she had been there only for Judy. It was a mystery, but isn't life filled with them?

Judy sat down at her desk and reached for her notebook. She had a story to write.

The Angels Amongst Us

Bare foot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the people go by.

She never tried to speak, she never said a word. Many people passed, but
never did one person stop.

It just so happens the next day I decided to go back to the park, curious
if the little girl would still be there.

Right in the very spot as she was yesterday she sat perched on high, with
the saddest look in her eyes.

Today I was to make my own move and walk over to the little girl. As we
all know a park full of strange people is not a place for young children
to play alone.

As I began walking towards her I could see the back of the little girl's
dress indicated a deformity. I figured that was the reason the people
just passed by and made no effort to help.

As I got closer, the little girl slightly lowered her eyes to avoid my
intent stare. I could see the shape of her back more clearly. It was
grotesquely shaped in a humped over form. I smiled to let her know it was
ok, I was there to help, to talk.

I sat down beside her and opened with a simple Hello. The little girl
acted shocked and stammered a hi after a long stare into my eyes. I
smiled and she shyly smiled back. We talked 'til darkness fell and the
park was completely empty. Everyone was gone and we at once were alone.

I asked the girl why she was so sad. The little girl looked at me and
with a sad face and said "Because I'm different." I immediately said
"that you are!" and smiled.

The little girl acted even sadder, she said, "I know."

"Little girl," I said, "you remind me of an angel, sweet and innocent."
She looked at me and smiled, slowly she stood to her feet, and said,
"Really?" "Yes, ma'am, you're like a little guardian angel sent to watch
over all those people walking by."

She nodded her head yes and smiled, and with that she spread her wings
and said, "I am. I'm your guardian angel," with a twinkle in her eye.

I was speechless, sure I was seeing things.

She said, "For once you thought of someone other than yourself, my job
here is done."

Immediately I stood to my feet and said, "Wait, so why did no one stop to
help an angel?" She looked at me and smiled, "You're the only one who
could see me, and you believe it in your heart." And She was gone.

And with that my life was changed dramatically. So, when you think you're
all you have, remember, your angel is always watching over you.

The Divine Romance

Every night when you sit to meditate, pray to God unceasingly.

Tear the silence with your longing.

Cry to God as you would cry to your mother or to your father:

"Where are You?

You made me;

You gave me intelligence to seek You.

You are in the flowers, in the moon, and in the stars;

must You remain hidden?

Come to me.

You must!

You must!"

With all the concentration of your mind, with all the love of your heart, tear at the veils of silence again and again.

As constant churning brings butter out of milk, churn the ether with the ladle of your devotion and it shall produce God.

Celebration of Love Prayer

 Heart of Gold

Deep and restless....like the ocean
Happy and hopeful....like the laughter of children
Limitless and free.....like a misted horizon
May Love enter me lightly and dwell within me like a friend

Breathless and fragrant....like breeze across a rose bower
Heart-stopping and ardent.....like lips touching flesh
Sparkling and glittering....like night-time’s first star
May Love enter me softly and touch my soul with Light

Courageous and humble....like a bright warrior
Generous and gentle....like the rays of the Sun
Whispered and intimate....like secret winds across leaves
May love enter me tenderly and brush my spirit with its wings

Warm and bright....like the flame of a candle
Tinted and magickal.....like the sky’s rainbows
Tested and true....like the Love of the Goddess
May Love enter me completely and guide me ever in its way

May Love enter me lightly and dwell within me like a friend
May Love enter me softly and touch my soul with Light
May Love enter me tenderly and brush my spirit with its wings
May Love enter me completely and guide me ever in its way

May Love touch me with Life
Enfold me in its power
May it cast out my fears
And drive the darkness from my mind
May I live forever in the Light of Love

The 7 Steps to Connect with your Angels

Here is an article (below) that I found facinating.  If you believe in angels or not doesn't matter.  These 7 steps below can shift your into a higher vibration today...enjoy!!!!

The 7 Steps to Connect with your Angels
by Christopher Dilts  www.AskAnAngel.org

The word Angel means “messenger of God.” It is derived from the Greek word for messenger, “Angelos.” Angels were created as servants of creation and their service is to work with each and every one of us.  Each of us, regardless of station or situation, has full and equal access to Angels and their divine assistance.

Our guardian angels have been with us since before our birth and accompany us in every step we take in our lives.  The Angels understand everything about us, they know us intimately and completely, and love us unconditionally.  They increase the loving energy that we are able to feel both from our own soul and from Creator, the source of infinite love.  They expand and amplify our ability and willingness to share this love with others.  The Angels are also very practical and do their best to guide us to express our creative abilities in grounded and pragmatic ways so that we will be positive and effective as we share and work with others.

Asking an Angel for help is one of our most powerful spiritual practices. We can ask the Angels for immediate help at any time and in any place. Here are some techniques that will help you:

1) Ask for help – Angels offer us help 24/7. The more receptive we are, the more help they can give us. If you diminish your receptivity you limit the Angels ability to help you. Create your own invocations, or prayers, that specifically call for the help you need. Realize that when you call upon an Angel, what really happens is that you open yourself into greater receptivity to their assistance.

When asking for help, it’s important to realize yourself as fully worthy of Angelic assistance. Angels work with everyone regardless of personal histories and beliefs. Angels are infinite and omnipresent – your request does not diminish them in anyway nor does it affect their ability to help the rest of us at the same time. They exist beyond our experience of time and space and respond to everyone with complete unconditional love.

2) Connect with your inner divine child as you call upon the Angels and ask for help. Your inner divine child is whole, innocent and true and recognizes Angels as trustworthy gifts of Creator. This will help create openness, receptivity, excitement, eagerness and wonder as you prepare to receive the gift your Angels have prepared for you.

3) Hand everything over to the Angels when you ask for their help: every issue, problem, worry and fear as well as every good intention and positive outcome you imagine as the result of your request. Release all expectations of how your request will be answered.

4) Express Appreciation and Gratitude – Find and express genuine appreciation and gratitude for things exactly as they are. If you are struggling with this, ask the Angels to help you to find the love that is present in whatever difficulty you are facing. Have patience with this and let go of any expectation of how this love may be revealed to you.

5) Know that it is done – Every request is answered and help is always given. If you fear that your request will not be answered, then also ask for help in understanding. Trust that you will see the love in every answered prayer. You are known completely and loved unconditionally by the Angels and nothing that will serve you is ever withheld from you.

6) Act quickly on the guidance you receive. Accept the opportunity and act upon it immediately. Angelic help is infinite and unlimited – you can not use it up or run out of it. You cannot ask for “too much” and the Angels are joyously happy to give to you without limit. The faster you act, the faster you receive more assistance!

7) Celebrate yourself exactly as you are in the moment. Leave any critical judgments or negative feelings about yourself, your life, or others in the hands of the Angels for healing. Even if it is just for a few moments, let go of everything that is not of love for yourself and everything around you. In this moment of surrender much more can done for you by the Angels than you can accomplish on your own. Thank yourself and the Angels for deepening the relationship between you.

The languages that God speaks

Forgiveness
A Spanish missionary was visiting an island when he came across three Aztec priests.
“How do you pray?” asked the priest.
“We have only one prayer, “ answered one of the Aztecs. “We say: “God, You are three, we are three. Have mercy on us.”
“Beautiful prayer,” said the missionary. “But it is not exactly the prayer that God hears. I shall teach you a much better one.”
The priest taught them a Catholic prayer and went on his way to spread the Gospel among others. Years later, on the ship taking him back to Spain, he stopped at that island once more. From the deck he saw the three holy men on the beach – and waved farewell to them.
At that moment the three began to walk on the water towards him.
“Father! Father!” shouted one of them, approaching the ship. “Teach us again the prayer that God hears, because we can’t remember it!”
“It doesn’t matter,” said the missionary, seeing the miracle. And he asked God to forgive him for not understanding before that He spoke all languages.

Below are some of those prayers:

     Dhammapada (attributed to Buddha)

Instead of a thousand words,
     Better just one,
     One that brings peace.
     Instead of a thousand verses,
     Better just one,
     One that shows beauty.
     Instead of a thousand songs,
     Better just one,
     One that spreads joy.

Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi, 13th century

Out there, besides what is right and what is wrong, there is an enormous field.
That is where we will meet.

Prophet Mohammed, 7th century

Oh Allah! I come to you because you know all, even what is hidden.
If what I am doing is good for me and my religion, for my life now and later, then let the task be easy and blessed.
If what I am doing now is bad for me and my religion, for my life now and later, then keep me far from this task.

Jesus of Nazareth, Matthew 7;7-8

     Ask, and it shall be given you;
      seek and you shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
     For every one that asks receives;
     and he that seeks finds:
     And to him that knocks,
     it shall be opened.

Jewish prayer for peace
We shall go the mountain of the Lord, where we shall walk with Him. We shall change our swords into plows and our spears into baskets for harvesting fruit.
Let no nation raise its sword against another, and let us never learn the art of war.
And no-one should fear his neighbor, because thus spoke the Lord.

Lao Tsu, China – 6th century B.C.

For there to be peace in the world, the nations must live in peace.
For there to be peace among nations, cities must not rise up against one another.
For there to be peace in the cities, neighbors must get on well with one another.
For there to be peace among neighbors, harmony must reign in the home.
For there to be harmony at home, it must be found in your own heart.

Sleep On It

When your emotions get stirred up and work overtime it blocks access to your higher awareness. At times like this do not struggle with your quandaries or situations anymore. Instead step away from the problem completely and literally put your worries to bed. Sleep on your present problems and challenges and while you sleep turn your concerns over to your Higher Self, your angels and guides to resolve for you. Distance from the problem while you slumber and let them work on your challenges from a higher dimension and perspective during the night. Expect your psychic support system on the other side to find solutions for you and place them directly into your subconscious mind to be accessed the minute you wake up or shortly thereafter. Fully surrendering your problems over to higher forces in the Universe while you sleep is practical six sensory living. Your guides love to work on your behalf and will offer better solutions than you could ever dream of without their assistance. And you will dream of them. Conrad Hilton, the famous hotelier, as well as Walt Disney regularly put their troubles to bed, and slept for psychic guidance. Some of their greatest inventions and ideas came to them in their sleep. As you sleep instructs your higher self to open up to your angels and guides and work to find solutions and answers to your troubles. Direct your guides to place answers and solutions into your subconscious mind for conscious access in the morning while you give your emotions a well needed break. Then relax and grab a pillow. Sweet dreams.

Angels...

Angel

"If you need more faith or belief, ask God and the angels to help you and you'll feel the shift very soon."

Prayer for Lightbearers...

Help me bear Thy light to others,
to carry the rays of Thy love in my hands,
in my heart, in my eyes,
that they transmit Thy power,
Thy vibration to others.

Help me to be out of the way,
that You may flow through me,
to say the truth at all times, the beneficial truth,
to give people what they need spiritually,
and above all, to inspire them with Your love

May we truly be Lightbearers in Your name

Smile

I am a mother of three and have recently completed my college degree. The
last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely
inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been
graced with. Her last project of the term was called "Smile,"

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document
their reaction. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone
and say, hello anyway.....so, I thought, this would be a piece of cake
literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I
went out to McDonalds, one crisp March morning. It was just our way of
sharing special play time with our son. We were standing in line, waiting
to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away,
and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch...an overwhelming
feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had
moved.

A s I turned around I smelled a horrible "dirty body" smell... and there
standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the
short gentleman, close to me, he was "smiling"..his beautiful sky blue
eyes: were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance. He said,
"Good day" as he counted the few coins he had been clutching. The second
man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the
second man was mentally deficient and the blue eyed gentle man was his
salvation. I held my tears......as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said,"Coffee
is all Miss" because that was all they could afford (to sit in the
restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something...they just wanted to
be warm). Then I really felt it...the compulsion was so great I almost
reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when
I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me...judging my every
action. I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me
two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the
corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the
tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue eyed gentleman's cold
hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Thank you."

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, "I did not do this for
you...God is here working through me to give you hope."
I started to cry
as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband
smiled at me and said, "That is why God gave you to me honey.... to give
me hope."
We held hands for a moment and at that time we knew that only
because of the Grace were we able to give.

We are not church goers but we are believers. That day showed me the pure
Light of God's sweet love. I returned to college, on th e last evening of
class, with this story in hand. I turned in "my project" and the
instructor read it....then she looked up at me and said, "Can I share
this?" I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class. She began
to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings (part of God)

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonalds, my husband, son,
instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I
spent as a college student. I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I
would ever learn... unconditional acceptance..... after all ....we are
here to learn!

Much love and compassion sent to each and every person who may read this.

The Song of The 144 000

"And they sung as it were a new song... and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth."

-Bible, authorised Version (Revelation, Ch 14, v3.)

"We thank you Father that you have revealed to us your protective universal light; that within this light is complete protection from all destructive forces; that the Holy Spirit of Your Presence permeates us in this light, and wherever we will the light to descend."

"We thank you Father that you fill us with your protective fires of Love; that within this love is complete protection from all destructive thoughts and feelings; that the consciousness of Christ is lifted up in us in this love, and wherever we will the love to be enflamed."

"We thank you Father that you are in us and we are in you; that through us Your Will is sent forth on wings of power; that Your Purpose is accomplished on earth as it is in heaven; that through us Your Light and Love and Power is manifest to all the Sons and Daughters of Mankind."
